Movement Medicine mini-retreat
We all know that moving our body is a good thing, but why?
It’s movement that gives us healthy joints, strong bones, physical strength, good circulation; including cardiovascular circulation, good coordination and reflex reactivity; improved learning skills and concentration, and mental well-being.
Movement through physical activity helps us feel better, function better, sleep better and reduce the risk of many chronic diseases.
That’s the science, but also it’s fun!
In this mini retreat we are going to explore a fluid dance like yoga flow and a dance meditation, similar to an ecstatic dance where you will be free to move your body however you wish to get the benefits from the freedom this gives your mind and the energy created in the body.
Finally coming back to a relaxation meditation to calm the nervous system and take in the benefits of the practice.
Suitable for all levels of yoga, beginners welcome. Yoga equipment provided.
